The City of Pullman, its consulting team, and our project partners are committed to supporting businesses during the construction phase.

EXPEDITING CONSTRUCTION

To expedite reconstruction, Main Street will be closed from Spring Street to Grand Avenue during the construction period to expedite installation of new utilities, sidewalks, roadways, and surface improvements. Sidewalks along Main Street will be open to pedestrians at all times with the exception of short duration closures required to remove and install new sidewalk.


Traffic will be temporarily re-routed onto Paradise Street, which will be temporarily become two-way for vehicular traffic. A temporary truck route will move goods around town, while the consulting team and contractor help manage the delivery of goods to downtown businesses.

Individual Property/Business Owner Meetings

To ensure we have a strong line of communication with each property and business owner, Welch Comer Engineers would like to schedule a small-group meeting between property and/or business owners in Downtown Pullman with Courtney Kramer, Public Involvement Specialist, and Jim Tucker, Project Inspector, in advance of reconstruction of Pullman's Main Street (scheduled to begin May 15, 2023).
